Kunal serves as the Director of Technology & Product Engineering at Interon IT Solutions, where he leads the company’s product development strategy, technology innovation, and engineering delivery initiatives.
With over 18 years of software development experience and more than 8 years specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics, Kunal oversees the architecture, design, and execution of Interon’s product portfolio, ensuring scalable, secure, and innovative solutions for clients across multiple industries.
As the technology leader responsible for product engineering, Kunal drives the development of next-generation platforms by leveraging Generative AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Cloud Computing, and Data Engineering. He works closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to transform ideas into market-ready solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Kunal possesses deep expertise in Python, SQL, AWS, Azure, and VMware ESXi, and has successfully led teams in building enterprise-grade applications, intelligent automation platforms, AI-powered products, and large-scale data processing solutions. His technical proficiency includes advanced machine learning techniques such as Regression, Classification, XGBoost, Gradient Boosting, Random Forests, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning.
In addition to leading product development, Kunal plays a critical role in establishing technology standards, mentoring engineering teams, driving innovation initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions. Kunal is also an active researcher and contributor to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning community. His research has been published and presented through prestigious organizations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and leading academic conferences. His recent work focuses on applying AI and machine learning to solve complex challenges in healthcare, education, and conversational AI. Notable publications and presentations include “Deep Learning-Based CAD System for ECG Image Classification” (IEEE CAI 2025), “Identification of Factors Correlating to Patient Appointment No-Shows Using Deep & Machine Learning” (IEEE ICAD 2025), “Leveraging Machine Learning to Understand and Predict Student Transfer in Higher Education” (ACM KDD 2025 – Accepted), and “Kanji Chatbot: Leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for Context-Aware Conversations” presented at the Multidisciplinary Conference at Clark University.
